Identification of the AraE transport protein of Escherichia coli

Abstract: 1. Two arabinose-inducible proteins are detected in membrane preparations from strains of Escherichia coli containing arabinose-H+ (or fucose-H+) transport activity; one protein has an apparent subunit relative molecular mass (Mr) of 36 000-37 000 and the other has Mr 27 000. 2.
