“…The identification of genes controlling yield-related traits is a crucial step in improving sugar cane yield through genomic modification. By GWAS and comparative genomic study on 110 diverse sugar cane genotypes, several genes associated with sugar cane juice quality- and yield-related traits were identified, including starch branching enzyme, starch synthase 4, sugar transporters and glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate dehydrogenase, ethylene insensitive 3-like 1, auxin response factor . In this work, 514 candidate genes were identified, and 35 of them were in stable QTL intervals and were further annotated.…”
