Identification of Axl as a downstream effector of TGF-β1 during Langerhans cell differentiation and epidermal homeostasis

Abstract: Axl expression is induced by TGF-β1 during Langerhans cell differentiation and enhances apoptotic cell uptake and blocks proinflammatory cytokine production.
