Identification of acylation products in SHAPE chemistry

Abstract: SHAPE chemistry (selective 2'-hydroxyl acylation analyzed by primer extension) has been developed to specifically target flexible nucleotides (often unpaired nucleotides) independently to their purine or pyrimidine nature for RNA secondary structure determination.
