“…Dentre os métodos de detecção já apresentados, o método acústico é conhecido por localizar a origem de DPs de forma precisa em cabos isolados a gás Hexafluoreto de enxofre (SF6) ( Bartnikas. 2002) e transformadores (Fuhr and Aschwanden. 2017).…”

“…Newton iteration can be used to solve the approximate solution, and the solution result is the location of the PD source. However, because of various factors such as interference noise, measurement errors, etc., there is either no solution or no unique solution, and the different initial values selected will also affect the solution results .…”

“…Typically, this principle uses several AE sensors installed on the transformer wall to detect ultrasound waves generated by the PD and the localization of the PD-source is determined based on the time of flight differences between the acoustic PD signals [10]- [14]. The use of two combined measurement methods is required because the signals from the AE sensors have low signal-tonoise ratio (SNR) due to the damping that the acoustic waves undergo in the propagation paths between the PD-source and the sensors [14], [15]. Therefore, the measurement of the electromagnetic signals in the ultra-high frequency (UHF) range, which has high sensitivity, is typically used for the PD detection and the triggering of the AE measurement to reduce noise by the averaging of the acoustic signals, allowing the reliable localization of the PD-source [12], [14], [16].…”
