“…Subsequently, the homologous genes of igf3 were also found in many shes, such as sapphire devil (Dinda et al, 2020), orange-spotted grouper (Yang et al, 2015), common carp (Song et al, 2016) and silver pomfret (Gu et al, 2021). Previously, we found the igf3 was only expressed in gonads for silver pomfret (Gu et al, 2021), but its changes in gene expression and cellular localization is not yet known. Furthermore, in ovary of the present study, we analyzed the igf3 mRNA and protein locations during oogenesis by ISH and IMH, and results showed that igf3 mRNA and protein were slightly expressed in the cytoplasm of oocyte for PGO and PNO, then both of them were signi cantly and obviously expressed in somatic cells including theca and granulosa cells around oocytes in successive oogenesis, suggesting igf3 might play different roles in different stages of oogenesis.…”
