“…A review of 64 research articles on indoor lighting reported that warm artificial lighting and increasing daytime sunlight exposure optimized feelings of relaxation (Kong et al, 2022). Light exposure and aesthetics have been studied more extensively in specific healthcare settings such as labor and delivery rooms, children's hospitals, psychiatric facilities, dementia care units, and neonatal care units (Balabanoff, 2023; Chaudhury & Cooke, 2014; Hazelhoff et al, 2021; Nourmusavi Nasab et al, 2020; Ulrich et al, 2018). Still, only one study has examined hospital light exposure and depression in adults with CF, a population known to have frequent and extended hospitalizations (Kopp et al, 2013).…”

“…While the aspect of a hospital's environment may not be the direct cause of an individual's anxiety, it may amplify or lessen the harmful effects of psychological strain (Lim et al, 2019). Pediatric healthcare facilities must put considerable thought than ordinary hospitals to address the unique requirements of hospitalised children (Lim et al, 2019;Nourmusavi Nasab et al, 2020). Because of the difficulty of keeping children's attentiveness for a long time, positive distraction is crucial to take into account in pediatric healthcare facilities (Bishop, 2012).…”
