Show more

“…Within the Borborema Province, the studied area is located in the eastern sector of the Transversal Zone Domain, a unit marked by extensive E-W trending shear zones, characterized by its tectonic deformation linked to the last orogeny that affected the Brazilian Platform, the Brasiliano-PanAfricano Cycle (e.g. Brito Neves et al, 2000Neves et al, , 2003, formed by the amalgamation of dominantly Mesoproterozoic terrains, which were juxtaposed and/or overlapped by Neoproterozoic klippen belts. Those processes were associated with the emergence of the Gondwana supercontinent (e.g.…”

“…The Ediacaran-Cambrian magmatism in the Transversal subprovince has been the subject of extensive studies throughout the last decades (e.g., Almeida et al 1967, Sial 1986, Brito Neves et al 2003, Guimarães et al 2004. Guimarães et al (2004) used geochemical and geochronological data to categorize the granitoids from the Transversal subprovince within four groups:…”
