ICTEM 2013: The International Conference for Teacher Educators in the Muslim World

Abstract: The objective was to highlight and explore the intellectual, moral and spiritual aspects of education, in general, and Islamic teacher education, in particular. The rationale was that education should aim to transform society rather than reproduce the 'status quo'. Indeed, in Islam, the moral and spiritual development of humanity is more important than material progress and success.
