Abstract: Purpose Instrumental assessments to visualize the structure and functions of the different stages of swallowing and to identify the risk of aspiration include Videofluoroscopic evaluation (VFSS) and Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES).
