XylellaGenomics and Bacterial Pathogenicity to Plants

Abstract: Xylella fastidiosa, a pathogen of citrus, is the first plant pathogenic bacterium for which the complete genome sequence has been published. Inspection of the sequence reveals high relatedness to many genes of other pathogens, notablyXanthomonas campestris.
