SUNBIM: a package for X-ray imaging of nano- and biomaterials using SAXS, WAXS, GISAXS and GIWAXS techniques

Abstract: SUNBIM (supramolecular and submolecular nano-and biomaterials X-ray imaging) is a suite of integrated programs which, through a user-friendly graphical user interface, are optimized to perform the following: (i) q-scale calibration and two-dimensional ! one-dimensional folding on small-and wide-angle X-ray scattering (SAXS/WAXS) and grazing-incidence SAXS/ WAXS (GISAXS/GIWAXS) data, also including possible eccentricity corrections for WAXS/GIWAXS data; (ii) background evaluation and subtraction, denoising, and… Show more

“…An image plate (IP) detector with 100 μm pixel size was placed at 10 cm and 2 m from the sample to acquire WAXS and SAXS data, respectively. Once acquired, 2D data were calibrated by means of the Si NIST standard reference material (SRM 640b), for WAXS, and Silver Behenate powder, for SAXS, and folded into 1D profiles. A detailed description of the XMI−L@b performances can be found in Altamura et al .…”

“…There is evidence that the use of triplets may improve OPV efficiency due to their longer lifetime (Kö hler & Bä ssler, 2009), and even enable solar cell devices with internal quantum efficiencies approaching 200% utilizing singlet-triplet exciton fission (Congreve et al, 2013). Finally, the thin-film structures obtained from GIWAXS can be compared with single-crystal counterparts (if available) using a software package such as DPC (Hailey et al, 2014) or SUNBIM (Siliqi et al, 2016).…”
