Abstract:Common‐channel interoffice signaling (ccis) represents a major advance in interoffice signaling speed and capability over current inband signaling systems. The introduction of ccis between Stored Program Control (spc) switching offices is reducing ineffective machine attempts (imas) caused by transmission and switching irregularities associated with inband signaling. Because signaling between ccis‐equipped switching offices is concentrated in a relatively small number of signaling links and signal transfer poi… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
