Teleteaching is a system by which groups of homebound children are given full time instruction via the telephone. The present report is an attempt to appraise an experimental program of teleteaching in Los Angeles. The 26 children in the teleteaching study made satisfactory educational progress according to followup evaluation of semester grades, and interviews with pupils, their parents, teleteachers, and regular school teachers. Recommendations to further improve teleteaching are also included.
