Planck2015 results

Abstract: We present the most significant measurement of the cosmic microwave background (CMB) lensing potential to date (at a level of 40σ), using temperature and polarization data from the Planck 2015 full-mission release. Using a polarization-only estimator, we detect lensing at a significance of 5σ. We cross-check the accuracy of our measurement using the wide frequency coverage and complementarity of the temperature and polarization measurements. Public products based on this measurement include an estimate of the … Show more

“…The Planck collaboration also provides the most significant measurements of the CMB lensing potential power spectrum for the multipole range 40 < L < 400 (labeled as "lensing") [113]. When this dataset is included in the analysis, the 95% CL constraints on m ν become: m ν < 0.68 eV for Planck TT+lowP+lensing and m ν < 0.59 eV for Planck TT,TE,EE+lowP+lensing [14].…”

“…For the Planck curve, we cut at 2048, following the public analysis [37]. Shown are the delensing efficiencies expected for the MV quadratic estimator (dashed color) and the iterated, converged solution (solid).…”

“…After the first direct detection of lensing in the CMB by the ACT team [2], the SPT [3], POLARBEAR [4], SPTpol [5], BICEP2-KECK [6] and Planck [7] collaborations have also reported the detection of the lensing signal and published band-powers. The most decisive detection yet was by the Planck satellite [8]: its full-sky coverage comes with a statistical power that simply cannot be matched at the present time.…”

“…Cold DM can explain the galactic rotation curves [1,2], velocities of galaxies in clusters [3], lensing observations [4,5], and the combination of observations (X -ray, lensing, visible) in galaxy cluster collisions [6]. Further evidence comes courtesy of the acoustic peaks in the CMB.…”
