PV criticality in braneworld black holes with logarithmic-corrected entropy

Abstract: In this paper, we study the effect of thermal fluctuations on the thermodynamics of braneworld black holes. Due to thermal fluctuations, the correction terms will produce various thermodynamical quantities such as enthalpy, entropy and specific heats. We develop the canonical and grand canonical ensembles in the presence of corrected entropy and examine the phase transition of braneworld black holes. It is observed that the braneworld black holes show more stability by utilizing the logarithmic-corrected entro… Show more

“…Recently, the thermal analysis of BH in anti-de Sitter (AdS) space has been comprehensively investigated in the extended phase space where the cosmological constant Λ is taken as the thermodynamic variable [4][5][6][7][8]. Kubiznk and Mann [7,9] studied the P − V criticality of BH in extended phase space and provided important results on the liquid gas systems and phase transitions. Davies [10] studied phase transition through thermal analysis of the BH and obtained high-ordered phase transitions.…”

“…Recently, Kubiznk and Mann [25] generalized this connection by analyzing the P-V criticality within the extended phase space along with the thermodynamical Pressure and thermodynamical quantity [20]. In this aspect, one can find a detailed discussion about the concept of cosmological constant treated as a thermodynamical pressure and the similarity between phase transitions, liquid-gas systems and other important astrophysical signatures, see in detail, [26,30], [31]- [37].…”
