N-body simulations ofγgravity

Abstract: We have investigated structure formation in the γ gravity f (R) model with N-body simulations. The γ gravity model is a proposal which, unlike other viable f (R) models, not only changes the gravitational dynamics, but can in principle also have signatures at the background level that are different from those obtained in ΛCDM (Cosmological constant, Cold Dark Matter). The aim of this paper is to study the nonlinear regime of the model in the case where, at late times, the background differs from ΛCDM. We quant… Show more

“…[3]) that cosmological kinematical tests (those that depend only on the background evolution) alone cannot distinguish between the standard cosmological constant model (ΛCDM) and any viable f (R) gravity theory. Indeed, one of the strongest constraints comes from the growth of perturbations in the nonlinear regime [4,5]. In the linear regime, on the other hand, only weak constraints are obtained [6].…”

“…The thermal transport properties of the PE/BNN nanocomposite lms were evaluated in terms of in-plane thermal diffusivity (TD) measurements on a commercially acquired instrument based on the modied Angstrom's method. 17,18 The TD is correlated with thermal conductivity (TC) in the following relationship:…”

“…It is well known that f (R) viable models can not currently be distinguished from GR's ΛCDM at the background level [26]. Further, in these models, both f R (z) ∼ 0 and H ∼ H ΛCDM above a certain redshift.…”
