Abstract:Key indicators: single-crystal X-ray study; T = 100 K; mean (C-C) = 0.003 Å; R factor = 0.043; wR factor = 0.132; data-to-parameter ratio = 16.1.The two independent molecules in the asymmetric unit of the title compound, C 15 H 16 N 2 O 3 S, are each linked by an N-HÁ Á ÁO sulfonyl hydrogen bond into a linear chain that runs along the shortest axis of the triclinic unit cell. The hydroxy groups are engaged in intramolecular hydrogen bonding and the amino N atom shows pyramidal coordination.
