“…During the 5‐year period of analysis, JRST and SE published very few papers by authors representing the Expanding Circle (an average of 8.4% and 12.6%, respectively). According to a JRST Annual Report, “In 2008, 41.3% of the manuscripts were submitted from outside the United States” with “Turkey representing the largest (20.1%) of these submissions” (McGinnis et al, 2010, p. 477).
