In vivo Antioxidant and Hepato-Protective Properties of Stem Bark Methanol Extract of Vitex doniana

Abstract: The harmful effects that accompany the use of orthodox antioxidant medicine have necessitated the hunt for inherent antioxidants from plants extracts. In the present study, the in vivo antioxidant and hepato-protective activities of Vitex doniana against carbon tetrachloride (CCl4) induced liver damage in albino rats were investigated. The hepato-protective activities of the methanol extract of Vitex doniana stem bark were compared with Silymarin, a known hepatoprotective drug. Twenty-five (25) male albino adu… Show more

“…This is more so with the very limited information available with respect to the subject matter. In recent years, there has been the development of greenhouse gases observing satellites which are a technology deployed to 142 aid effective monitoring of greenhouse gas emissions (Lawal et al, 2023) This explains why utilizing satellite data to estimate a flux of greenhouse gas in the atmosphere has become a trending issue (Platonova & Klimova, 2021). Apart from the cost implications of this endeavour, it portends to be a reliable source of ascertaining the quantity of greenhouse gases emissions.…”
