Abstract:A new variety of Yunnan caterpillar orchid, Cheirostylis yunnanensis var. gloriae, is described from Hong Kong. This variety differs from the typical variety, which also occurs locally, in details of the epichile, petals, column, and pollinarium. Additionally, the two varieties show spatial separation without evidence of sympatry at the site level within the small land area of Hong Kong.
