Hysteresis modelling and experimental verification of a Fe–Ga alloy magnetostrictive actuator

Abstract: In order to accurately describe the asymmetric rate-bias-dependent hysteresis of a Fe–Ga alloy magnetostrictive actuator, a comprehensive model, which is composed of a phenomenon model, describing hysteresis by the modified Bouc–Wen hysteresis operator, and a theoretical model, representing the dynamics characteristics, is put forward.
