Hypoplastic left heart syndrome: Is echocardiography accurate enough to guide surgical palliation?

Abstract: Two-dimensional echocardiography can diagnose hypoplastic left heart syndrome. However, with the advent of the possibility of palliative open heart surgery, complete anatomic diagnosis is necessary.
