Hypoglycemia in the ICU: Discrepancy between capillary and serum glucose measurements in patients with renal disease

Abstract: Recently, a focus on tight glycemic control in intensive care units (ICU) has resulted in implementation of strict insulin protocols requiring frequent glucose monitoring.
