Hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy—the Leipzig experience

Abstract: Background: Management of hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy (HOCM) has evolved considerably over the last fifty years, and includes medical treatment as well as septal myectomy (SM) to relief symptoms caused by left ventricular outflow tract obstruction (LVOTO).
