Hypertensive target organ damage and its relationship with platelet indices

Abstract: Hypertension affects vascular endothelium of retina, kidney, and heart. These are called as target organ damage (TOD). Hypertension causes endothelial damage by shear mechanical stress which leads to platelet aggregation and activation.
