Hypertension and Dyslipidemia in Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus in United Arab Emirates

Abstract: BackgroundIn United Arab Emirates (UAE), the prevalence of Diabetes Mellitus was 19.6% in 1998-2000. Co-morbidity with Hypertension (HT) and Dyslipidemia (DL) increases the probability of cardiovascular complications, and hence the study of the distribution of HT and DL in patients with type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (DM) and their control.
