Abstract: Keypoints• Hyperprolactinemia (HPRL) is a cause of menstrual irregularity, galactorrhea, hypogonadism and infertility.• Serum prolactin measurement should only be performed in the presence of compatible symptoms and/or in the presence of a pituitary tumor, even with an incidental diagnosis.
