Hyperactivation of fibroplasia by the transferable sulphur in wound healing

Abstract: Summary. Glutathione has important functions in the process leading to cell growth and division. The healing phenomena in the exeissional skin lesions of guinea pigs are stimulated by the local treatment of thiourea. Its sulphur was physiologically incorporated in the soluble thiol groups interpreted as glutathione. The statistical average of tissue glutathione values were determined by the DTNB method as 0.666 ~= 0.033 mg/g wet, weight after thiourea treatment in test group and 0.241 --0.034 mg/g wet weight i… Show more

“…In fact, there is direct crosstalk between adipocytes and macrophages. [31] The interaction between adipocytes and macrophages regulates the equilibrium of pro-and anti-inflammatory factors. In obese adipose tissues, macrophages prefer to nibble pieces of large apoptotic adipocytes and induce accumulation of lipid droplets inside cells through a unique process called trogocytosis, [32,33] leading to inhibition of pro-inflammatory cytokine production and enhancement of the anti-inflammatory cytokine release.…”
