Hyoid Movement During Swallowing in Older Patients With Dysphagia

Abstract: An increased extent of hyoid displacement in older patients with dysphagia may represent a necessary compensation designed to minimize the effect of the short duration of hyoid elevation on the upper esophageal sphincter opening.
