“…Azuche has shown to be a double attributes species when introduced to new areas: in Australia it was introduced from Haiti within an interchange with Venezuela (Csurhes and Edwards 1998), it was evaluated and released as cultivar Olive (Wilden and Chapman 1987;Wilden 1988;Wilden and Oram 1989) before it was recognized as a dangerous weed (Csurhes and Edwards 1998;NWSEC 2000). The same situation has occurred in Florida where the valuable forage attributes for Azuche have been reported (Kalmbacher et al 1998) and later its potential danger as a weed (Hill 2000).…”
