Abstract:TiO 2 nanoparticles (NPs) with a diameter of 100 nm were synthesized by a simple hydrothermal route at 220 o C and then processed for a possible alternate cathode catalyst material in the lithium-oxygen batteries. It was found that when TiO 2 nanoparticles were utilized as cathodes, substantial improvements in the discharge capacity, cycle ability, rate capability and low overpotential were observed. This can be attributed to its high catalytic activity and large surface area.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
