Hydrothermal Assisted Synthesis of ZnFe2O4 Embedded g‐C3N4 Nanocomposite with Enhanced Charge Transfer Ability for Effective Removal of Nitrobenzene and Cr(VI)

Abstract: A novel hybrid nanocomposite of g‐C3N4/ZnFe2O4 was successfully prepared by a facile hydrothermal method followed by an annealing process. The obtain hybrid catalyst was systematically characterized by XRD, TEM, HRTEM, FT‐IR, UV‐DRS and XPS analysis in order to study the structural, morphological, optical properties and chemical states. The cubic phase ZnFe2O4 crystalline structure and spherical morphology with sizes in the range of 30–35 nm were adequately anchored on the g‐C3N4 sheets. The HR‐TEM image sugge… Show more

“…The resultant precipitates were separated by filtering, rinsed with deionized water and pure ethanol, and then dried at 85 °C in an oven. Other percentages of Mn-ZnFe 2 O 4 (0, 1, 3, 5, 7, and 9 wt.%) were also synthesized using the same method [ 27 ].…”

“…From this perspective, we can conclude that the degree of magnetization plays a vital role in the isolation of catalysts without any significant loss even after successive runs. Table 4 provides information about various combinations of ferrites, and g-C 3 N 4 NCs, which were designed and executed for the purification of aqueous solutions consisting of numerous organic-inorganic contaminants [96,[249][250][251][252][253][254][255][256][257][258][259][260][261][262][263][264][265][266]. These magnetic heterojunctions display exciting properties, such as high SSA, enough magnetism, convenient particle size, effortless recovery and outstanding photocatalytic performance in various AOPs.…”
