Abstract: Anti-DNA antibodies are known to be classical serological hallmarks of systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). In addition to high-affinity antibodies, the autoantibody pool also contains natural catalytic anti-DNA antibodies that recognize and hydrolyze DNA.
