Abstract:We have studied reactions of the Y 2 Fe alloy with hydrogen at 100°C and lower temperatures and with ammonia at temperatures from 100 to 500°C. We have determined the composition of the reaction products and identified conditions for obtaining the YFe 2 H 3.6 hydride and those of its decomposition in ammonia, resulting in the formation of yttrium and iron nitrides.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
