“…However, this method involves complex complicated processes, including multistage water-gas shi, decarburization, and post-hydrogen purication. 6,7 In addition, the need of enormous auxiliary fuel to maintain the strong endothermal reaction would also lead to signicant CO 2 emission. 8 In comparison, electrocatalytic water splitting allows hydrogen to be prepared at room temperature and is recognized as a possible method to replace SMR for hydrogen generation.…”

“…As observed, the Ni/Y x Ce y Ru z O 4 catalyst is stable and shows a rather high capability of maintaining its activity during 30 h of current flow at 700 °C and has continued its activity with the least deactivation. The presence of Ce–O in the support structure increases oxygen deficiency due to Ce 3+ in the lattice and results in oxygen mobility to prevent coke formation and increase stability , of the Y x Ce y Ru z O 4 support structure. The Y in the structure stabilizes pore and lattice framework and helps with better stability of the catalyst in harsh temperatures .…”

“…MOFs have been applied to fabricate composite membrane materials to improve properties such as penetration and selectivity of the membrane due to their favorable compatibility. 83 This section will provide an overview of these MOF block shapes and discuss the effect of shaping on MOFs themselves.…”
