Hydrogen permeation in 2205 duplex stainless steel under hydrostatic pressure and simulation by COMSOL

Abstract: This article explores the effect of hydrostatic pressure on hydrogen diffusion process in 2205 duplex stainless steel. The experiments were performed in a homemade high pressure autoclave. The Fick's second law was modified and taken reversible traps into account. The apparent diffusion coefficient decreased by 74.85% when pressure increased from 0.1 to 7 MPa, both of forward and reverse trapping rate constants, apparent hydrogen concentration, and activation energy increased with higher hydrostatic pressure. … Show more
