Abstract:The application of press-hardened steels (PHSs) in automotive body-in-white components using the hot-stamping technique is growing thanks to its impressive strength and formability. Unfortunately, hydrogen embrittlement (HE), an issue that generally exists in high-strength steels, impedes the PHSs rising application trend by causing catastrophic mechanical property degradation. Thus, detailed evaluation and prediction of HE risk throughout PHSs manufacture and service condition are necessary. This study highli… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
