“…Lass [23] reported that a rapidly solidified Mg 85 Ni 10 Pd 5 alloy exhibits a reversible hydrogen storage density of 5 wt% H 2 at the temperature of 473 K, and this temperature is near upon 100 K below the typical temperature required for Mg-based alloys. Shahi et al [24] prepared MgH 2 -ZrFe 2 H x nanocomposites by reactive mechanical milling technique and found that the composite containing ZrFe 2 or ZrFe 2 H x brings on that the temperature of hydrogen desorption, respectively, decreases from 683 to 623 or 563 K. Hou et al [25] reported the hydrogen desorption property of Mg 2 NiH 4 prepared by high-energy ball milling, which utilized the multi-walled carbon nanotube combing with TiF 3 as a catalyst, and found that the hydrogen desorption temperature (T D ) and activation energy (E a ) of Mg 2 NiH 4 were lowered to 503 K (516.7 K for Mg 2 NiH 4 ) and 53.24 kJ/mol (90.13 kJ/mol for Mg 2 NiH 4 ), respectively.…”
