Abstract:This chapter discusses the principles of hydrodynamic cavitation processes with special reference to particle size, homogenization, emulsification and its use as a tool to control the properties of active pharmaceutical ingredients. A wide range of applications are given which includes corn ethanol production, anaerobic digestion processes and biodiesel production using controlled flow cavitation.
