Hybrid variable monitoring: An unsupervised process monitoring framework with binary and continuous variables

Abstract: Traditional process monitoring methods, such as PCA, PLS, ICA, MD et al., are strongly dependent on continuous variables because most of them inevitably involve Euclidean or Mahalanobis distance.
