Using a noniogenic polymer (PEO), a natural polymer (N-carboxyethylchitosan), and silver nanoparticles, Penchev et al [87] observed a complete killing of the bacteria (Staphylococcus aureus) within an hour of contact at higher concentrations of silver nanoparticles, whereas at low concentrations the nanoparticles only inhibits bacterial growth. They used a one pot system to fabricate the nanofibre in which all the components were added into the spinning solution.…”
