Abstract:The paper investigates the use of low-diffusion (contact-discontinuity-resolving [Liou M.S.: J. Comp. Phys. 160 (2000) 623-648]) approximate Riemann solvers for the convective part of the Reynolds-averaged Navier-Stokes (RANS) equations with Reynolds-stress model (RSM) closure. Different equivalent forms of the RSM-RANS system are discussed and classification of the complex terms introduced by advanced turbulence closures is attempted. Computational examples are presented, which indicate that the use of cont… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
