Hybrid liquid desiccant air-conditioning system with a direct expansion evaporative cooler

Abstract: There is a need to control air temperature and humidity in humid regions, especially when fresh air is demanded. This study investigates the performance of a hybrid liquid desiccant (LD) air-conditioning system with a direct expansion (DX) evaporative cooler. Temperature, relative humidity, and power consumption were measured and reported using a wireless data-logging system at the air conditioning unit's key locations.
