HYBRID INFRASTRUCTURE AS A SERVICE - A Cloud-oriented Provisioning Model for Virtual Hosts and Accelerators in Hybrid Computing Environments

Abstract: State of the art cloud environments lack a model allowing the cloud provider to leverage heterogeneous resources to most efficiently service workloads. In this paper, we argue that it is mandatory to enable cloud providers to leverage heterogeneous resources, especially accelerators, to optimize the workloads that are hosted in accordance with the business model.
