Hybrid Data Acquisition and Analysis System for Flowing Medium Lasers

Abstract: The medium gas lasers involves in-situ generation of the lasing medium, hence are associated with several complex processes including mixing of pumping and lasing species, energy exchange between the species, heat generation during reaction and its influence on the flow domain to list a few. Thus, the characterisation of lasing medium, condition of operation of individual critical subsystems and corresponding phenomenon thereof is essential in real time. It is here that a customised data acquisition and analys… Show more

“…In order to address these aspects a compact hybrid real time flow control system has been developed and utilised for buffer gas supply including in operation flow variation in (using Ramp VI pattern of) LabVIEW 2014 platform with software flexibility. The developed compact Hybrid DAS is compact and can be operated from the remote distance of around 35 m with obstacle sand at 80 m line of sight 7 . The novelty of the work primarily lies in it being a Hybrid system using Master -Slave concept, in which the master module controls the slave module using wireless communication.…”

“…This paper focuses primarily upon chemical generation of iodine by employing CuI-Cl 2 reaction mechanism and performs parametric investigation and analysis by using developed DAS based on wireless Wi-Fi interface [9][10][11][12][13][14] . DAS is configured in order to specifically meet the needs of online parametric measurement and operational requirements.…”
