Hybrid Adaptive Web Service Selection with SAWSDL-MX and WSDL-Analyzer

Abstract: Abstract. In this paper, we present an adaptive, hybrid semantic matchmaker for SAWSDL services, called SAWSDL-MX2. It determines three kinds of semantic service similarity with a given service request, that are logic-based, text-based and structural similarity. In particular, the degree of structural service similarity is computed by the WSDLAnalyzer tool [12] by means of XMLS tree edit distance measurement, string-based and lexical comparison of the respective XML-based WSDL services. SAWSDL-MX2 then learns … Show more

“…Missing in these approaches are direct compliance assurances connected to the service terms that provide certification guarantees for specific governing documents. This paper will address this need in a way that is both compatible with our previous work, commonly used WS-Agreement [19], WSLA-based approaches [13,20,21] and framework agnostic approaches such as in [14].…”

“…Generally, it is performed by matching a request against all available services, implying linear performance. Most of the works concerning service discovery focus on improving the effectiveness of the service matchmaking [32,28,29,30,2], only few works focus on improving the efficiency of the service discovery. In [45], a caching mechanism for outperforming the service discovery is proposed.…”
