Objeti vo: Avaliar a percepção das gestantes ao Programa de Atenção Odontológica à Gestante da FOA-UNESP. Método: A amostra compreendeu 75 gestantes, sendo uti lizado um questi onário com 16 questões fechadas, contendo variáveis agrupadas nas seguintes categorias: conteúdo das reuniões didáti co-pedagógicas, atendimento clínico, perfi l do profi ssional, infra-estrutura da clínica, medo/segurança no atendimento e aprendizado. Com exceção das variáveis medo/segurança no atendimento e aprendizado que ti veram conceitos sim e não atribuídos, as demais ti veram conceitos de fraco a óti mo atribuídos. Os questi onários foram pré-testados em um estudo piloto, e aplicados após consenti mento livre e esclarecido, em todas as gestantes que concluíram tratamento no ano de 2005 a 2006. Resultados: A maioria considerou como óti mo o conteúdo informati vo trabalhado nas reuniões didáti co-pedagógicas (81,1%), o atendimento clínico (90,6%), o profi ssional quanto à apresentação pessoal, genti leza e atenção (88,7%, 96,2%, 90,6%, respecti vamente), e a infra-estrutura da clínica quanto à limpeza, venti lação e conforto (92,5%,86,8%,90,6%, respecti vamente). A maioria afi rmou senti r segurança (96,2%) e não senti r medo (86,8%) durante o tratamento, e ainda, afi rmou ter aprendido conteúdos até então desconhecidos (92,5%) nas reuniões didáti co-pedagógicas do programa. Conclusão: Os serviços e ações desenvolvidas no programa têm obti do êxito, promovendo saúde às gestantes e seus futuros bebês.Gestantes; Promoção da saúde; Serviços de Saúde Bucal.Pregnant women; Health promoti on; Dental health services.
Objecti ve:To evaluate the pregnant women's percepti on of the FOA-UNESP's Pregnant Women Dental Care Program (Araraquara, SP, Brazil).
Method:The sample included 75 pregnant women and used a questi onnaire with 16 closed questi ons, containing variables grouped in the following categories: the didacti c-psychological meeti ngs, clinical treatment, professional's profi le, clinical facility, fear/confi dence in the treatment, and learning. Except for the variables fear/confi dence in the treatment and learning, to which 'yes' or 'no' answers were att ributed, the remaining variables were att ributed answers varying from weak to excellent. The questi onnaire pretested in a pilot-study and applied aft er informed consent was obtained from all pregnant women treated between 2005 and 2006. Results: Most women rated as excellent the informati on addressed during the didacti c-psychological meeti ngs (81.1%), the clinical treatment (90.6%), the professional as to personal appearance, kindness and att enti on (88.7%, 96.2% and 90.6%, respecti vely), and the clinical facility as to cleanness, venti lati on and comfort (92.5%, 86.8% and 90.6%, respecti vely). Most of them stated to feel confi dent (96.2%) and have no fear (86.8%) during the treatment and also affi rmed having learned new informati on in the didacti c-psychological meeti ngs of the program (92.5%).
