Humanização da assistência à puérpera: concepções de profissionais de enfermagem de um hospital público

Abstract

RESUMOO estudo analisa concepções sobre a humanização da assistência,no puerpério, a trabalhadoras de enfermagem de um hospital público universitário de Cuiabá, Mato Grosso. Consiste de uma pesquisa qualitativa descritivoexploratória, da qual participaram nove agentes de enfermagem. Foram realizadas entrevistas semiestruturadas entre março e maio de 2010 e análise temática de conteúdo do material levantado. A humanização da assistência à puérpera é concebida como as relações baseadas no respeito, práticas de orientação à mulher e sua família para o cuidado do recém-nascido, escuta e captação ampla de necessidades de saúde e necessidades próprias da mulher. Julga-se que a humanização da assistência na instituição é dificultada por deficiências na infraestrutura, resistência e despreparo da equipe, falta de apoio da gestão hospitalar e o fato de a população desconhecer seus direitos. A incorporação de práticas humanizadas de atenção à puérpera em conformidade com a política nacional de humanização ainda é um desafio para as instituções e para os trabalhadores de enfermagem.Palavras-chave: Humanização da Assistência.
