“…12 The dignity of every human being democratizes humanity by upholding the necessity to respect the common, unalienable, and inviolable value of every human being, independent of any qualities such as ethnic differentiation, race, gender, and ability. 13 Richard Wassertrom, a lawyer and teacher in legal studies, describes the four primary characteristics of a human right: that it should be possessed by all human beings, and only by human beings; it must be possessed equally by all human beings; it is not a right that one might possess by employing a particular status or relationship; and it is asserted "against the whole world." 14 These elements have been confirmed in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights that proclaimed the "inherent dignity and … the equal and inalienable rights of all members of the human family."…”

“…The characteristics of human likeness to God are the following: the creation of humans came about by a divine decision, humans were made superior to all other creatures, the human race was given dominion over the earth and all other lower creatures, all other creatures that came before humans were created in their own way, meaning that only humanity was created. Historically, different commentators such as Oberdorfer (2013), Vainio (2014), Simango (2016) and Schoot (2020) were of the opinion that the image of God in humans was based on several characteristics such as will, reason, self-confidence, memory, soul, dignity, freedom, spirituality, personality, morals and intellect (Oberdorfer 2013:231-239;Schoot 2020:33-46;Simango 2016:172-190;Vainio 2014:121-134). It was also assumed that the upright human stature indicates the physical resemblance to God, the rational nature as a reflection of the divine Logos, the human rule over the earth as a mirror of the power and rule of God over all creatures, the human freedom and selfdetermination nature as Mirror of God's free creative nature (Feinberg 2004:235-246;Migliore 2004:139-141;Muller & Muller 1999:7).…”
